Westport will leave great memories of a unique course on the shores of Clew Bay. Each hole offers a challenge under the watchful eye of Croagh Patrick. The 11th, with its Everest like fairway, the par three 12th and the index one, par four 13th, is our Amen Corner.
After leaving the newly designed 13th, you arrive at the par three 14th, where Croagh Patrick fills the skyline. The first of the feature holes is your next test, a drive over the Atlantic Ocean, for men only, as the ladies are invited to tee from a forward position. Then you are nearly home with two chances of birdies on the 16th and 17th holes. You reach your destination, the second feature hole at Carrowholly. The majestic 18th hole has a narrow fairway, with water from tee to green up the right. You reach the green in regulation and are met with the ultimate challenge a vast, undulating green. Good luck!

Ballinrobe Golf Club
Ballinrobe Golf Club's location on a 300-acre estate is an idyllic setting for such a magnificent championship course. The 7,100yd, par-73, course was laid out and designed by well-known architect Eddie Hackett and the contoured greens, which are 80% sand based, are playable all year round.
This inland golf course, which opened in spring 1995, is characterised by lakes at seven of the 18 holes, and is laid out to championship standard. It is set in medieval surroundings, with a 13th-century tower house next to the 10th tee box.
The greens are 80% sand based and the club house is a fully restored 250-year-old estate house. The course, with its scenic parkland area, is one which will offer a challenge to any golfer with its mature trees, man made lakes, elaborate fairways and traditional stone walls.
World-renowned golfer Padraig Harrington recently described Ballinrobe Golf Course as "the finest championship golf course in the West of Ireland."
Additional facilities include a 12-bay floodlit driving range, practice areas and pro shop.

Carne Golf Links
Carne Golf Links lies in magnificent unspoiled sand dunes overlooking Blacksod Bay and the wild Atlantic Ocean near Belmullet, County Mayo. It was the last links course to be designed by the late Eddie Hackett and it is now believed by many who have played it, to be his greatest challenge. The building of Carne has caused little disturbance to this wild and ancient landscape. Tees and greens occurred naturally and very little earth moving was involved in the process of construction. There are some breathtaking views over the Atlantic and the legendary islands of Inis Gloire and Inis Geidhe. The course is challenging in its 6,120 metres and is links at its wild and very best. In 2005, Carne Golf Links was voted the I.G.T.O.A course of the year and number twenty eight in the world, by Golf World magazine.

Connemara Championship Links
At the edge of Europe on the wild Atlantic coast of Galway, lies a links course that is a challenge to all who play her. Situated between the Twelve Bens mountains and the Atlantic Ocean in the west of Ireland, the Connemara Championship Golf Links is an exhilarating golfing experience. This awesomely picturesque 27 hole, par 72 course with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean was designed by Eddie Hackett and measures over 7,000 yards. Opened in 1973, the course is a true links challenge.
The back nine have been described as “the equal of any in the world”. The famous 13th hole is a very testing 200 yards par-three, followed by the long par-five 14th hole. The 15th has a green that is camped up in the hills and can only be attacked by the aerial assault. The 16th green is guarded by water and then you must confront the 17th and 18th. Again exposed to the elements, both par-fives are over 500 yards long. The 18th green, well guarded by bunkers, lies in the shadow of our great new clubhouse, completed in 2007.
In the year 2000, an additional nine were opened. The first two holes meander along the coast with waves pounding on white sand beaches below. The third and fourth curl inland along a tricky waterway, then the next five holes are a climb into rocky rolling hills with stunning mountain and ocean views.
